Compliance Dept. provides a booklet of the Oji Group Corporate of Conduct and the Oji Group Behavior Standard (revised on October 1st, 2020) to all Group officers and employees (including part-time workers).
The Compliance Dept. has prepared explanatory and educational materials on the basic concept, explanation of the articles and texts, and checkpoints, which have been used in compliance meetings at all workplaces of the domestic offices of the Oji Group to provide education.
Compliance Dept. translates the Oji Group Corporate Code of Conduct, the Oji Group Behavior Standard, and educational materials into various 12 languages, and disseminates them into practice to all officers and employees for overseas offices.
The Corporate Compliance Dept. of Oji Holdings promotes compliance by providing compliance training and delivering monthly newsletters. The compliance promotion leaders of Group companies lead the holding of regular business ethics and compliance meetings and the implementation of compliance training for all officers and employees (including part-time and short-term employees) in each workplace. The Oji Group strives to raise business ethics and compliance awareness by combining these activities.
Training organized by the Compliance Dept. includes business ethics and compliance training for new managers, new employees, and other employees at different levels, harassment and additional training conducted by visiting each Group company, and we also hold regular in-house training sessions on items common to all Group companies, such as the Act against Delay in Payment of Subcontract Proceeds, the Anti-Monopoly Act, and anti-bribery, providing many opportunities for employees to acquire the necessary knowledge.
In addition, we publish a monthly newsletter, "Compliance News", to alert employees through case studies, explain the Oji Group Corporate Code of Conduct, and the Oji Group Behavior Standard, and inform them of the Whistle-blowing system.
Each Group company also conducts training on harassment and other issues on their own. In addition, through regular compliance meetings, we promote understanding of the Oji Group Corporate Code of Conduct, and the Oji Group Behavior Standard, deepen communication among employees, identify compliance issues in the workplace, discuss countermeasures, and raise awareness on our own.
And more, the contents of the compliance meeting are reported to the Corporate Compliance Dept., and practical initiatives are shared throughout the Group.
The Internal Audit Department conducts periodic audits, and if problems are identified, implements countermeasures to individually address issues and performs other detailed responses to ensure that compliance is firmly established. In addition, a compliance awareness survey of all Oji Group officers and employees is conducted every other year in Japan to monitor the status of compliance at each work site.
